Selah Vista Homes to present at Northwest Green Building Slam and Summit

Selah Vista, Central Washington’s first Net Zero 5-Star Built Green residential community, is one of only ten projects chosen to present at the prestigious Northwest Green Building Slam on October 25, 2019 at Kane Hall, University of Washington.

A simple idea from years ago has metamorphosed into one of the most fun and inspirational green building events of the year. This high-paced evening will feature 10 presenters who, given just 10 minutes and 10 slides each, will present sustainable, high-performance “green” buildings that push the envelope in the built environment. The local projects range from single- and multi-family residential to mixed-use developments. The sell out audience of over 400 typically attracts architects, builders, homeowners, energy efficiency experts, real estate professionals, interior designers and other fabulous eco-conscious people.

Steve Weise, Developer of Selah Vista, and Brenda Nunes, Managing Broker will also present the project in the Green Building Summit, a day of professional education on Saturday October 26th. They will discuss the inspiration behind Selah Vista and how the project is educating Central Washington and beyond on the merits of living in a healthy, high performance home. Weise and Nunes will be joined by other fantastic speakers for a total of four hour-long sessions connecting sustainable building professionals from the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of these sessions is to learn from one another, share best practices, and re-energize the collective vision to drive the green building movement forward. This program provides continuing education credits for architects.

The event is open to the general public. For more information on the weekend, and to purchase advance tickets, check out https://www.northwestgreen.org/.
